The University of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences was established at Bunso in the Eastern Region of Ghana as the country moved to strengthen its technical and agricultural capacity. The Parliament of Ghana passed Act 1169, formally creating UEAS as an autonomous, premier technical university.
With funding support that enabled a $90M modern campus, the university was built around two foundational schools designed to empower Ghana's industrial growth and ensure continent-wide food security. The pioneer cohort begins in the 2026/2027 academic year.
