Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Governing Council, Management and the entire University community, it is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to the University of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences. Whether you join us as an academic, a senior member administrator, a senior staff or a junior staff member, you are a valued addition to this family, and we are genuinely delighted to have you with us.

Your appointment follows a competitive and rigorous recruitment process, and it reflects the confidence the University has in your abilities, character and potential. Each of you brings unique skills, experiences and perspectives that will enrich our teaching, research, innovation, administration and service to society. Every role in this institution matters. The lecturer in the classroom, the researcher in the field and laboratory, the administrator managing our systems and the staff member keeping our offices, farms and grounds running all contribute together to the success of our students and the reputation of our University.

We are committed to providing a conducive working environment where you can thrive. Management will continue to invest in the facilities, tools and support you need to perform your duties effectively. We believe in open communication, mutual respect, fairness and teamwork, and we encourage you to share your ideas freely. Opportunities for training, professional development and career progression are available, and I urge you to take full advantage of them as you grow with the University.

As a young and growing institution, UEAS has a special mandate to train the engineers, agriculturists and innovators who will drive Ghana's industrial and agricultural transformation. You are joining us at an exciting time, and you have the rare privilege of helping to shape the foundations and traditions of this University.

As a new University, many of our foundational governance documents, including the Statutes, Regulations and Strategic Plan, are still being developed. Rather than simply receiving these documents, I warmly invite you to partake in drafting them. Your knowledge, experience and fresh perspectives will be invaluable in shaping the policies and direction that will guide UEAS for generations to come.

I encourage you to embrace this rare opportunity, contribute your ideas freely, and uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and dedication in all that you do. Do not hesitate to reach out to your Heads of Department, Directors, Deans and colleagues for guidance. Our doors are open, and we are here to support you.

We are confident that your time at UEAS will be fulfilling and rewarding, both professionally and personally. Together, we will build an institution that our students, our nation and the world can be proud of.

Once again, you are warmly welcome. I wish you every success, good health and a long, productive and happy career with us.

Thank you, and God bless you all.
